Quantification of the relationship between rat gastric nerve fibers and enteroendocrine cells (EEC)

Enteroendocrine cells (EECs) in the stomach are thought to modulate the desire to eat via nerves that send signals from the gut to the brain. In this dataset we examine the structural relationship between nerve endings and EECs in the rat gastric mucosa.
